Talking It Up

February 8th, 2011

Yesterday I was on Revelation TV again, this time talking about choosing who to marry.  The hour went by very fast for me, because I love chatting about LURVE and ROMANCE!  Such a girl :)  Birgit Whelan is a gifted interviewer and had lots of questions prepared, mostly based around the stories in Cheerful Madness, so we talked about the pros and cons of a whirlwind trip up the aisle, finding love in later years, the issue of guidance and divine matchmaking, and how to handle a giant, unrequited crush.  It reminded me of the agonies and extacies of life pre-marriage, with life's biggest question (for me- I was marriage obsessed) unanswered.

On Saturday, I will be speaking at the anual Agape student conference, Fireseeds, on similar topics.  I hope and pray that I can encourage the people there to take the risks, love God above all else, and enjoy the ride (if you are Irish, that may sound rude, but I don't mean it in the rude sense!).

Valentine's day is round the corner, a day of disappointement and frustration for some, and slushy smugness for others.  However it is for you, may you feel deeply, truly, madly loved by your creator, and may you be surrounded by good people who care about you.
